Subject:[amigactive] started using uae - i think x86 is a good move for amiga.

got a laptop p233mhz 64mb ram and ran uae with amiga-in-a-box to help
with my first setup for uae ... OMG its excellent, although a bit
unstable with some software.

:) i plan to use it as my primary OS, or at least equal importance
with windows95.

to all those who knock an x86 version of os -i have uae on a laptop
and its a massive boost for my reasons to stick with amiga. if it was
more stable it`d be even better but its still an asset for me.

its an incentive for me to make apps that run native and uae, which i
plan to start doing .. only need a few simple apps and then the only
use for windows is getting and sending word docs .. and learning to
use pc apps for work purposes [and the odd game that i cant get on
amiga].

as far as x86 native additions go, i think thats a waste of time
compared to stuff thats processor agnostic, cept maybe it runs better
on x86 .. but when the os goes ppc then an app could be compiled for
ppc and then again for 68k to run at good speed on a x86 emulation. i
dont see the problem really.
